Our person to person Customer Service is a very important aspect of Indio Water Authority way of doing business, and for many of you it is the preferred way. Most issues can be handled right over the phone by calling Customer Service during regular business hours Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm (except for holidays, see table). After-Hours Customer Assistance will be directed through our Police Department. The Indio police department has the ability to dispatch service crew if deemed necessary; they do not have access to any customer information. After hours re-connections are available Sunday through Saturday at a rate of $64.00 per call out.

Payment Options 

Cash, Check, Credit Card or Auto-Pay/Direct Debit. We accept Visa and MasterCard for those customers paying in the office only. To sign up for Auto-Pay/Direct Debit select this form. Please follow the direction on the form and return by mail or in person. No faxes will be accepted.



Monthly Account Processing (overview) 

Utility bills are sent on a monthly basis for customers within the city limits of Indio. The balance is considered past due if not paid within 25 days after date of billing. When a bill for water service has become past due, service may be discontinued if the bill is not paid within 10 days after a Late Payment Reminder notice is sent. If the service is discontinued, the past due balance plus applicable re-connection fees and prepayment requirements must be paid prior to service being restored.
