The General Plan Update
The City of Indio is currently in the process of updating its General Plan. Go to Indio2040.org for more information. The General Plan is a state-mandated document that outlines goals, policies, and programs that provide the framework for future development in the city. The General Plan will address land use, all modes of transportation, housing, safety, conservation, open space, noise, public health, sustainability, and economic development.
We encourage you to check back to this website periodically to learn more about ongoing opportunities to get involved and to get the latest news on the General Plan Update.
The General Plan Update is a collaborative effort between the City and its residents. Workshops and meetings will be held throughout the process and the public will be encouraged to attend and provide valuable feedback.
