The City Clerk is elected to a four-year term and acts in a ceremonial capacity. The essential duties of the City Clerk are to maintain the official City seal, administer oath of office, attend City Council meetings, both regular and special, sign all legal documents and attend public/social events.
The City Treasurer is elected to a four-year term and acts in a ceremonial capacity. The Treasurer serves on the Citizens Finance Advisory Commission, City Investment Committee and attends city council meetings. The responsibilities and duties of this office are performed by the Finance Department Director and his staff.
