Household Battery Recycling

Almost everyone uses batteries and many of these batteries end up in a landfill. Although waste batteries are a Recycle Batteriessmall amount of the solid waste stream, they are a concentrated source of some types of heavy metals. The main constituents of concern for human health and the environment include: cadmium, lead and mercury.

Household batteries and automotive batteries, which are considered hazardous waste should be taken to the Coachella/Indio Waste Transfer Station located off Dillon Road:
