Alarm Users Permit

ALARM USER’S PERMIT REQUIRED

If you currently have or are planning to install a security or fire alarm system in your home or business, you must have an Alarm User’s Permit on file with the City of Indio. Ordinance (Title XIII, Chapter 131 of the Code Ordinances of the City of Indio) regulates security and fire alarm systems. All alarm system users are required to have a permit upon activation of the alarm system.

ALARM REGISTRATION & PERMITS

All alarms must have permits. Alarm permits are issued by the Indio Finance Department. To register, please contact the Finance Department 100 Civic Center Mall, Indio, CA 92201, (760) 391-4040 between the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. You may also obtain the application from the City of Indio’s webpage www.indio.org/index.aspx?page=88. Application and payment should be sent to the City of Indio, P.O. Box 1788, Indio, CA 92202.
