CITY OF INDIO ANNOUNCES ¡VIVA INDIO! CELEBRATION
HONORING HISPANIC HERITAGE

Event to be held in Downtown Indio on Saturday, September 13 from 5-9pm


INDIO, CA (August 27, 2025) — The City of Indio is proud to present ¡VIVA INDIO!, a vibrant celebration of Hispanic heritage and culture, taking place on Saturday, September 13, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Downtown Indio. This free, family-friendly event will feature an exciting lineup of entertainment, cultural activities, and community fun for all ages.


Guests will be able to enjoy a kids zone complete with jumpers and interactive activities, along with a special piñata-making station designed for children. Local food vendors will be offering a wide variety of authentic flavors that highlight the community’s diverse culinary traditions. At Center Stage, live entertainment will keep the crowd energized throughout the evening with traditional ballet folklórico dancers, lively mariachi music, a Bronco tribute, and a special performance by Las Tías.


“Indio is a city rooted in culture, family, and tradition and ¡VIVA INDIO! is our way of honoring the contributions of the Hispanic community while creating a space for everyone to come together and celebrate,” said Mayor Glenn Miller. “We are excited to welcome residents and visitors alike to Downtown Indio for an unforgettable evening of music, food, and fun.”
