Glenn A. Miller is a well-known community leader and businessman who has called the desert home for more than thirty-five years. In addition to Glenn’s duties as a Councilmember, he is also the Coachella Valley Representative for California Congressman Ken Calvert for the 41st Congressional District.

In his current duties for the City of Indio, Miller presently serves on the Indio Water Authority; Public Financing Authority; the Successor Agency to the City of Indio’s Redevelopment Agency; the California Joint Powers Insurance Authority Board of Directors; Sunline Transit Agency Board of Directors; Coachella/Indio Waste Transfer Station Authority; and President of the East Valley Reclamation Authority Joint Powers Authority.

In addition to Glenn’s duties on the Indio City Council, he has been a Certified Golf Course Superintendent (CGCS) for over thirty-five years. He is a certified Landscape Irrigation and Golf Course Irrigation Auditor and has built and maintained such prestigious golf courses as the Indian Wells Golf Resort and the Mountain and Dunes courses at the La Quinta Hotel and Resort.

Miller’s passion is his long-standing involvement with local and regional civic and non-profit organizations. He is a Board Member for the ABC Recovery Center, Boys & Girls Club of Coachella Valley and Desert Arc. During Miller’s last fifteen years on the Indio City Council, he has donated back his entire City Council salary to various charitable and civic organizations throughout the Coachella Valley.

Known for his high energy and tireless work ethic, Miller has been a long-time member of two Rotary clubs in the City of Indio, having served as the past president of both Clubs as well as being awarded the prestigious designation as a Paul Harris Fellow. Glenn exemplifies the meaning of “Service above Self.”
