The Housing & Neighborhood Services Division enhances and maintains the vitality of community neighborhoods in Indio by ensuring quality and affordable housing is available to residents. The Division administers a variety of housing programs, including those supporting mobile home preservation, first-time homebuyer assistance, and housing rehabilitation. It also coordinates resources and services for unsheltered populations to promote housing stability and community wellness.

Additionally, the Division manages properties owned by the Successor Agency to the Redevelopment Agency, supporting efforts to repurpose and revitalize former redevelopment assets in alignment with community development goals.
