In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990, the City does not discriminate on the basis of disability. The City will make reasonable modifications to policies, practices, and programs when necessary to ensure that individuals with disabilities have an equal opportunity to participate in and benefit from City programs, services, and activities.
For example, individuals with service animals are welcome in City of Indio offices and facilities, even in locations where pets are generally prohibited.
Requesting an Accommodation or Auxiliary Aid
Anyone who requires an auxiliary aid or service for effective communication, or a reasonable modification to participate in a City program, service, meeting, or event, should contact the department or staff member responsible for the program or activity as soon as possible.

Requests should be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled program, service, meeting, or activity so the City has adequate time to make appropriate arrangements.
