City of Indio Sustainability Collection Events 2026

During Sustainability Collection Events, the City will collect the below items for free:

- Tires: All tires must be off the rim

- Used oil and oil filters

- Electronic waste, household batteries and lightbulbs

- On-site paper shredding service: Limit of 4 boxes

- Plastic bags, from grocery or retail stores 

Collection is for Indio residents ONLY, commercial waste will not be accepted.

During Household Hazardous Waste Collection Events, the following is accepted for free for Indio residents:

- Paint

- Automotive fluids

- Electronics

- Universal waste

- Lawn & garden items

- Household products

- Healthcare waste

⚠️ Important: Sharps must be in sealed, hard plastic containers — no loose sharps allowed.
