Governor's call to reduce water usage

The Governor has expanded the drought declaration statewide, which now includes Riverside County. Californians are being urged to voluntarily reduce water usage by 15 percent, compared to Year 2020 usage. It is all up to us to take simple actions to stretch supplies and protect our water reserves. Below are some simple tips:

• Fix leaks inside and outside the home can save 27-90 gallons of water each day.
• Turn off water when brushing your teeth or shaving can save 8 gallons of water per person per day.
• Adjust sprinkler heads and fix leaks. Repairing a small leak can save as much as 6,300 gallons of water per month.
