Citywide Crack Seal Road Project Update - Week of Jan 9, 2017

The City of Indio Public Works Department has started the Citywide Crack Seal Project. This project injects roadway cracks with a rubberized sealant to prevent water from getting to the subgrade support of the asphalt to minimize and prevent more costly asphalt failures such as potholes.

This project is weather dependent and the schedule will be frequently updated based on long term weather forecasts.

Starting on January 9, 2017, work will occur on Fred Waring Dr. between Jefferson St. and Monroe St., and on Madison St. from Fred Waring Dr. to Indio Blvd.

For December 20-21, 2016, work will be performed on Varner Road in front of the Auto Mall from 5am-2pm.

For the week of December 12-16, 2016, roadway cracks will be sealed on Fred Waring Dr. between Jefferson St. and Monroe St., and Madison St. between Fred Waring Dr. and Indio Blvd.

When work is occurring localized single lane closures will be encountered between 5am and 3pm Monday to Friday.  Delays to motorists are anticipated to be minimal and all access to homes, businesses, and schools will be maintained.
