COVID-19: Your Tap Water is Safe and Reliable

IWA understands some customers may have concerns about drinking water supply due to the current COVID-19 pandemic. We want to assure the community that the water we provide remains safe; the coronavirus (COVID-19) has no impact on the quality or quantitative supply of your tap water.

Are you concerned about paying your bill? Did you know that customers can conduct nearly all transactions with IWA Customer Service by simply calling or emailing us at (760) 391-4038 or iwacustomerservice@indio.org? You have many options to conduct business with us remotely or pay your bill through the web portal, interactive voice response (call 760-347-4958), regular mail, and drop box amongst other options

Where does your water comes from:

All of IWA's drinking water comes from deep groundwater wells (up to 1,200 feet deep), which do not contain viruses or pathogenic organisms. All water is chlorinated before entering the distribution system to ensure that it stays safe through our system to your home. For more information on how we test and maintain your water quality, please visit the Water Quality section of our website.

Again, call or email us at (760) 391-4038 or iwacustomerservice@indio.org if you have questions or concerns.
