Elaine Holmes was born and raised in Glendale, California. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the California State University Long Beach. She has been an Indio business owner since 2004 and owns PJ’s Desert Trophies & Gifts in downtown Indio.
Elaine’s extensive business background includes serving as the Global Sales Manager for Sprint Corporation’s International Division where she was involved in contracts and business development. She also worked for the Fluor Daniel Corporation where she served as the Business Development/Marketing Manager for the International Business Unit and coordinated international contracts and teaming agreements.
Elaine’s current Council assignments include serving as a member of the Association of California Water Agencies Local Government Committee; Greater Palm Springs Convention & Visitor’s Bureau; Coachella Valley Economic Partnership; Energy & Environmental Resources, Homeless, Public Safety Committees of the Coachella Valley Association of Governments; Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport Authority; Riverside County's Community Action Partnership; East Valley Coalition; Coachella Valley Mountains Conservancy Board; Coachella Valley Animal Campus; Eastern Riverside County Interoperable Communications Authority; and 2x2 Committees for the City of Indio and the Coachella Valley Unified School District, Desert Sands Unified School District, College of the Desert, Desert Recreation District, and Coachella Valley Water District.
